About

Hi, I'm Jess

I help local businesses, schools and community organisations become easier to find, clearer to understand and easier to choose.

I've spent over 20 years in media and marketing, including working with leading agencies and well-known brands. Today, I bring that experience to local organisations, combining strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach that gets things done.

Why I do this

I see so many businesses doing great work but struggling to be found, understood or chosen.

Not because they aren't good enough, but because their visibility, messaging and marketing aren't working as hard as they could. That's where I come in.

A view from both sides

Alongside Navigate Marketing, I'm the founder of Your Local Hub, a local platform connecting residents with local businesses, activities and services across Surrey.

Through it, I see first-hand how people discover, compare and choose local businesses — insight that feeds directly into the work I do for my clients.

It also means I don't only advise on marketing. I've built, launched and grown a local platform of my own, developing everything from its positioning and website to its Membership model, campaigns, content and community.

How I work

Clear thinking. Practical marketing. Support that gets things moving.

  1. Clarity before complexity

We get your message clear first, so people quickly understand what you do, who it’s for and why it matters.

  2. A clear focus on local visibility

I help your business show up in the right places, so more local people can find and choose you.

  3. A joined-up approach

Your website, social media and listings should work together, so everything feels consistent and professional.

  4. Built on real local insight

Through Your Local Hub, I see first-hand how people discover and choose local businesses, and use that insight in your marketing.

  5. Practical, not overwhelming

Simple, focused and actionable. You move forward with clarity, not a report that sits in a drawer.
