Brilliant local businesses are recommended every day in WhatsApp chats, Facebook groups and conversations at the school gates — but those recommendations can be hard to find again when you actually need them.
Your Local Hub brings local businesses and services together in one easy-to-use place, making it simpler to discover, support and shop local.
Which areas does Your Local Hub cover?
Your Local Hub currently covers Horsley, Effingham, Bookham, Cobham, Ripley and surrounding Surrey villages, with the community continuing to grow.
Is Your Local Hub free for residents?
Yes — Your Local Hub is completely free for residents to browse and use.
There’s nothing to download and no subscription. You can also add Your Local Hub to your phone’s home screen for quick, app-like access whenever you need it.
Does it cost to list my business?
No. Local businesses can apply for a free Business Listing, including imagery, a business description, services, contact details, website and social links.
Membership is completely optional and gives businesses additional visibility, promotion and Member recognition. You never need to become a Member to be listed.
What does Your Local Hub Membership include?
Membership is for businesses that want to go beyond being listed and benefit from greater visibility across the Your Local Hub community.
For £9.99 a month or £100 a year, Members receive priority positioning within their category, a more prominent listing, an official Member badge, a dedicated social introduction and additional opportunities to be featured across Stories, seasonal campaigns and community content.
Where several Members appear within the same category, priority positioning rotates so visibility is shared fairly.
Can businesses pay to be promoted above everyone else?
Members receive additional visibility, but businesses cannot pay to outrank other Members. Where several Members appear in the same category, their priority positioning rotates.
Your Local Hub also doesn’t sell sponsored positions within its recommendations. The aim is to keep the platform useful and fair for the local community.
How do businesses get listed?
Businesses can apply for a free listing through Your Local Hub. Applications are reviewed before going live to help maintain the quality and relevance of the directory.
Residents can also recommend local businesses they’d love to see included.
How do I recommend a local business?
If you know a brilliant local business that isn’t on Your Local Hub yet, we’d love to hear about it.
Simply get in touch through the website with the business name and details, and we’ll take it from there.
